ABOUT
Hello, my name is Tammi! I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. I have been married for 34 years and have four wonderful daughters, ages 32 to 16. I have homeschooled for 28 years and will wrap up that part of my life in the spring of 2022. We have many pets—two dogs, two cats, two gerbils, two Guinea pigs, three chickens, and too many fish to count. We have run our own custom metalwork business for the past 16 years. Being able to support my youngest daughter as she Irish dances is a highlight in my life.
As an avid reader, I have been casually proofreading everything I read for most of my adult years. Missed errors are inevitable, but I want to help others have as clean of copy as is humanly possible. Being very detail-oriented, I look for minor details in everything I read, and it brings me great joy in finding the missed errors in all writing genres, knowing that I could help make that writing better. Over the last four-plus years, I have enjoyed being a Beta reader and proofreader for various fictional authors, including Samantha Price, Michelle Warren, and Ashley Emma. Also, volunteering many hours proofreading with Project Gutenberg's Distributed Proofreaders has exposed me to many different genres of writings over the last year. In addition, I completed the Khan Academy grammar course to help hone my knowledge of grammar even more. Finally, I have finished official proofreading training through Proofread Anywhere, receiving my General Proofreading: Theory and Practice Certificate. I am confident that I can help you make your project the masterpiece it is meant to be!
